Since 2003 our work has shown us that teaching young people meditation is very important for health and wellbeing.

Stress is a natural process that encourages our body to maintain physiological balance - it is the fight/flight/freeze response that keeps us alive.
However when we don't take time out of our day to recover from challenging times, we start to experience chronic stress.
Young people also experience the effects of chronic stress and it is up to us to help them cope with challenging times.
Teaching children meditation and mindfulness helps to balance the effects of stress.
It would also help improve academic success while developing emotionally resilient and compassionate young people.
